First industry leading ultra high-resolution multi camera system shipped
We have taken print inspection to its highest level yet with the shipment of a hi-resolution, hi-speed, multi camera system.
Designed to repeatably detect print defects including broken and missing type as small as four-point, the system’s multiple cameras provide more than 12,000 pixels of coverage across the web. This level of resolution is also excellent for applications such as printed RFID antenna structures.
In addition, the system includes an industry first, our PixelRegistration algorithm. Developed to handle conditions like web stretch and registration fluctuation, PixelRegistration eliminates false defects so that the inspection sensitivity can be set to reliably detect small defects. PixelRegistration is ideal for extensible webs and webs affected by the machine’s operating dynamics.
See us at LabelExpo Europe 2005, Hall 7, booth K70 to learn more about PixelRegistration.

Label & Narrow Web Article: Where to inspect for the higher profits
The narrow web printing industry is always looking for ways to increase productivity while reducing costs. Labels and Narrow Web in its March 2005 edition looked at what process improvements can be made with inspection to boost profits. The author, Ron Irwin, offers that vision inspection at the press rather than at the finishing machine is the way to go. Stephan Krebs, president of Nyquist Systems Inc. provides Ron with valuable input on why it works and how to get the performance and results you need.

PRESS RELEASE at LabelExpo 2004
Nyquist Systems and Print Vision Systems are demonstrating the new Web:Inspector:2 with advanced inspection algorithms. Using a new technology, coined ‘Pixelregistration’ by Nyquist, the companies claim that you won’t have to open tolerances to run through a 100% inspection system. Inspection tolerances may have to be relaxed to overcome web variances, but may also mean that small defects, such as missing decimal points, will not be found. ‘Pixeltregistration’ enables you to run 100% inspection. ‘Golden Templates’ can also be generated with a single image versus averaging multiple images, which means inspecting to tighter tolerances.
The system is ideal for pharmaceutical and security applications.
